36 Custom Material Textures

36 Custom textures involved us grouping up into groups of 3 or 4 students and brainstorm 36 possible texture names. After coming up with 36 names we then had to go about drawing what we thought the word could of possibly meant to us.

Original Beautiful Picture - Hong Kong Cityscape

This night scene of Hong Kong's cityscape was taken from Hong Kong Island facing north. The tall building which is all lit up with two large masts on top of it is Bank of China and the single tall building to the left of the building lit up in pink is the IFC (International Finance Center). To the right you can see the spotlights in Kowloon lighting up the Hong Kong skyline.

I think is one of the best images i have ever seen, it has always been a dream of mine to travel over to Hong Kong and to visit such a large and beautiful city like it self.

Personal Creative Piece of Work (Original Design)

Shellharbour Beach House:

This is not my best piece of work but it happens to be my best piece of "own" creative work i have done, this was done in my first year in Diploma of Arch. Technology as 1st year major assessment/assignment.
The project involved a site visit to a vacant block of land near the beach down shellharbour, which is 15 minutes from Wollongong.
We had to design a eco friendly 2 story beach house. The project was computer drawn then was copied on to a2 sized paper, which
was then hand rendered.

Drawing included:

* 4 Elevations
* Site Anaylasis
* Cross Section of whole block
* Floor plans

Grade received: Distinction

Inspired Architectectural Building - Sydney Opera House

One of my main influence in becoming a architect would have to be able to design my own living habitat and set up how "I" would love to live. But if i had to choose a picture at which stage i chose to become a architect would have to be the picture of the Sydney Opera House, which was designed by Jorn Utzon.

Located in Sydney Harbour, Sydney (Australia 1957 - 1973)

This is a interior shot of the building which shows how large the Opera House internal space is.
